The Tower of Druaga: The Aegis of Uruk is the first season of the The Tower of Druaga anime based on the Babylonian Castle Saga. It began airing on April 1, 2008, and concluded on June 20, 2008 in Japan. It consists of twelve episodes and follows the journey of Jil, Kaaya, Neeba, and other adventurers climbing the mysterious Tower of Druaga. It was dubbed into English by Funimation. It had a second season titled The Tower of Druaga: The Sword of Uruk.
Summary[]
80 years have passed since the hero Gil defeated Druaga and rescued the shrine maiden Ki. However, Druaga and the Tower of Druaga returned. Once every five years, the god Anu gives his blessing to reduce the power of the monsters inside the Tower of Druaga, a period known as Anu's Summer. In preparation for the third Anu's Summer, King Gil formed the Uruk Royal Military and founded the city Meskia in the bottom of the tower to subdue Druaga. During this time, adventurers known as Climbers also appear to climb the tower for several reasons, such as to assist the army's expedition against Druaga or to obtain the tower's treasures, rumors saying that the legendary Blue Crystal Rod is on the top of the tower.
